Double Struck Star!

From a galaxy far, far away! Double Struck Star is one of my favorite patterns to make, and it is also one of the first designs I ever published.Â

I've made this in Christmas colors in red, white, and blue, and also several times in the cover image colors of orange, green, and turquoise. It always looks amazing, made up, the magic is in the shade and color, no matter what fabrics you are using.
I have been asked over and over again through the years to do a YouTube tutorial for this pattern… Well, this is the week!Â

I made this sample in fuchsia, yellow, and turquoise while teaching a virtual class earlier this year. That was the perfect excuse to finish the sample and walk you through the process that I usually take my classes through. This involves choosing shades to get movement out of a simple triangle quilt. I also talked about assembly and pressing directions for the best results.

This pattern is available as a printed pattern or a PDF, and as I mentioned in the YouTube video, there is also a free downloadable coloring sheet if you’d like to color your own version! Of course, we also made fabric kits of all the fabrics that I used for this version, so if you’d like one of those, you can find them here.

Happy Sunday, Everyone,
Krista
