Long Summer Days!!

My latest pattern is here! And, it’s named after my favorite time of year :). I've been working on this super fun quilt for a couple of months now. I finally get to show you all what I have been up to, and just in time for some of our longest days of the year! We have twilight till almost 10 pm here in the PNW-I love it! So, let me introduce you to Long Summer Days!

You won’t believe how simple it is! You guys have seen me break down complex-looking quilts into a simple process. Well, this is that on steroids! Haha! Even I was like, " Oh, this is so fun", when I was laying all the blocks out for my first one!

This week, we filmed a new YouTube video to show you just how easy this process is. I walked through all three main cuts: diamonds, triangles, and trapezoids. I also shared a shortcut for nipping the tips off your pieces!

I designed the original colorway with the America 250th Anniversary in mind, but then I could immediately see it in so many other colorways. So, we did a second colorway that I am calling Sherbet, and I think it’s the cutest thing ever! I'm already envisioning it in Halloween and Christmas colorways… I’ll be working on those in my spare time ;) Haha!

We have the pattern available in both printed and PDF forms, and if you like the fabrics I used, we put together kits for both the America 250 and Sherbet colorways. This pattern is made with the Large Creative Grids 60-degree Diamond Ruler (because some of the cuts are too big for the Mini or Tiny).

I hope you found this inspiring :)

Happy Sunday, everyone!

Krista
