Did you know I have a new ruler coming out?! I’ve given a few hints here and there, but today is the day I’m able to show it off! It’s a “no math” scallop border template that makes it easy to add scallop borders to any size quilt with any width border. And, there is no tedious math involved!
I love the look of scallop borders on quilts, and I’ve been adding them to my own quilts for more than twenty years. I think they're the best way to make a small or boring quilt bigger and more interesting. I have shamelessly added 10”-12” borders to make a quilt bed size, and then scalloped the edge making it look fancy and intentional ;) The tricks just keep coming! Haha!
I made a new YouTube video showing my method for borders, but now that I have the tool, I will also be designing some blocks for curvy quilt patterns too… more on that later! This new ruler has a lot of potential for more than just borders, and I can’t wait to show you all my crazy ideas!
If you’d like to buy one of these rulers, you can find them here. And, we’ll include the Simple Scallop Baby quilt pattern with your purchase for a limited time!
Happy Sunday everyone,
Krista
