A little of this, a little of that

It’s been a week filled with odds and ends and other notables that should be mentioned! Are you hoping to take a quilting class this winter season? I will be teaching at Sew Expo in Puyallup, WA on Feb 29th. This will be a one needle class with a focus on technique and all things angles, cutting, piecing, pressing and working with bias… Here is a link to the class listings and where to sign up.

Some of you know I filmed a series of tutorial videos with Fat Quarter Shop. They have posted quite a few of them on their YouTube channel so far, and I thought I would share the latest one here (you can find the others on their channel if you search my name). Video tutorials are super helpful because we tend to be such visual learners, and the Fat Quarter shop video team is masterful at sound and lighting editing. I hope you find these fun and inspirational.

Last but not least, I  taught a couple of classes this week at a beautiful local quilt shop. Gossypium (Latin for cotton) is such a charming shop and has the most beautiful classroom! I snapped several pics of the shop and the classroom with its huge vintage windows that let in so much natural light, what a dreamy place to create.

The students were doing their choice of either Pool Party or Rock n Roller Coaster. Both of these quilts use the new mini 60-Degree Diamond Ruler. You can see some of their fun color combos, and I’ve made them promise to send pics when their tops are finished :) I’ll hopefully be able to share those too!

Happy Sunday, everyone!
