Flutterby Frolic!!

It’s here! I can finally reveal what I've been working on for the past several months. This is my latest pattern, Flutterby Frolic, and I think it might be the prettiest one yet!

The design process always goes through a couple of rounds of, oh wow, I hadn’t thought of that! It makes me feel like a spectator most of the time! When I laid everything out, and that ombre floral wreath took form, and then those butterflies turned out so dang cute, I wanted to add like twelve of them 😆 What a fun process!

I filmed a new YouTube video to show you how the flower block goes together. This block uses a simple piecing trick to get your petals to swirl around the hexagon center. Four components make up the quilt: the flowers, the butterflies, the leaves, and the background blocks.

The pattern has three size layouts: twin, wall, and a table runner. It's easy enough for a confident beginner, yet it has a complex look.

I fell in love with this sweet line of small floral prints. I curated the ones I wanted to use for my flowers from the larger collection. I thought some of you would like these fabrics too, so I made kits using the same fabrics.

This kit is for the twin size only, but you could get two wall-size quilts out of that one kit! The kits can be found here, and they include the pattern. If you’d like the pattern only, it is available as a printed pattern and a PDF here.

I love sharing this creative world with you, and I hope you enjoy it too!

Happy Sunday everyone,

Krista
