Where in the world have you been?

Writer: Krista MoserKrista Moser

Wow, what a week! This week, I was in Bozeman, Montana, teaching my brand new Block of the Month quilt for the local quilt guild. And whoa, was it an awesome good time :-) Three non-stop days of quilts, quilts, and more quilts!

Barbara, one of the guild members picked me up at the airport, and we went on a mini shop hop in the local area.... we hit four different quilt shops that afternoon where I got all the background fabric I needed for my next design.... now all I want to do is work on it! It was so cool to see my patterns in so many of the shops! And, the ruler is getting rave reviews everywhere!

The first night was a trunk show where I showed some never before seen quilts that will be new patterns in the very near future. It can’t come soon enough! Eeeek!

The next two days we did the Block of the Month workshop. I can’t tell you how happy I am with this pattern and all the students learned in two days! Gosh, you guys, I think this one’s going to be a big deal. It’s not officially released yet, so hang tight, but you may want to make time in your quilting schedule for this one!

The girls breezed through the blocks one after another, and it was so impressive to see them gain confidence in color selection as they went...and then, of course, seeing them light up cutting all the different shapes this ruler does!! I seriously felt like a proud mamma ;)

The Gallatin Quilt Guild was so warm and delightful, they immediately felt like family. I actually got a little teary eyed waiting at the airport to leave! What a trip! …. And, as if things could get better, I got upgraded to first class, for no charge while checking in, just because they liked my smile :) Hahaha! Is this even real?! Thank you, to the quilting world, for making life so incredibly fun! You guys are the best!

Happy Sunday, everyone! I’ll be posting a lot more about this New Block of the Month, next week!
