Years ago, I worked in a quilt shop and our single biggest day for gift certificate sales was Christmas Eve. I remember many frantic husbands who were out of ideas bursting through the doors minutes before closing. Some would buy a few things they thought their wife would like, but most of them opted to let her do the choosing and left with a gift certificate in her name.
I was thinking this week of a way to relieve the last-minute scramble and still make it personal and fun. That’s when I thought of the quilter's coupon book! We did these coupon books as penniless children, offering everything from a foot rub to a car wash. My mom loved them and cashed in quite a few over the years :) Quilters could give these to each other. Store owners can help fill in the details for those frantic husbands who are sure to come in the next couple of days. If you suspect your loved one is panicking about what to get you, maybe send them a link to this blog and the name of your favorite local quilt shop!
Merry Christmas everyone,
Krista
