Our Winter Visits!

This should be fun! Many of you know we did a quilt along for my latest pattern, Winter Visit, recently. Each week, for five weeks, I recorded a video lesson the participants watched before moving to the next part of the process. And boy, was it fun to see these quilts come together! I think you'll agree, this is quite the display of creativity.
We had hundreds of participants in this year's quilt along group, with members showing their work week after week. I was so inspired by each one, as people made this pattern their own, by choosing different colors or drafting a larger or smaller layout. I found myself saying, wow, why didn’t I think of that?! Haha! I hope you enjoy this amazing show of workmanship. I'm so thrilled to share their work with the big wide world of quilters :) Consider this our show and tell!

Finished! I am in love with this! Thank you Krista for another beautiful pattern!

Thank you, Krista Moser for another awesome pattern. And thanks to all of you fellow quilters for your inspiration, as well. I would have never chosen green on my own.

Ready to quilt

Winter Visit is competed. I made couple of the cardinal blocks (with shorter beaks) as gifts. Now if only real cardinals would visit our bird feeders!

Meilleurs Vœux pour 2026 avec ma version du modèle Winter Visit.

Finally finished! This is a Christmas gift for my parents in memory of my brother. Now for a trim and binding… Thank you Krista for such a lovely pattern.

Carina is still working hard on her quilt the berry’s were sewn on and we worked on making the diamonds to form the rows.

Love the pattern and awesome instructions and videos!

This was a fun quilt-a-long and can’t wait to see what is in coming in 2026 from Krista.
I made the dark version kit and then made a small version out of fabric I had. I love the both.

This quilt was so fun! Thank you Krista! I made it for my husband’s bio mom. He was adopted at birth- and connected with bio mom about 25 years ago. They have a lovely connection- but she lives in Tennessee- and we are in Oregon. So there has been just a few in person visits. Her birthday is on Christmas- and I’m finally getting it into the mail. She just celebrated her 90th birthday

I went with this brown wood patterned binding with the gold flange! Thank you for your input!

The top is finished and ready for quilting. Fabric is all from my stash.

Enjoyed this sweet quilt so much. I used wool for my Holly Berries. Thanks Krista.

I've just put the last stitches into the Winter Visit quilt! It will be gifted to a family member in the next week or so. I quilted it using ruler work and free-motion quilting on my domestic machine, and I added some corded red piping next to the binding to give another little pop of color.

I am far behind, November didn't go as planned. At least I have finally decided what to use instead of the cardinal block for my dark winter visit version - a framed large hexagon.

Needs to be trimmed but glad I got it done. Entirely made up of Moda Thatched and all from my stash. Love Krista’s patterns and QAL’s!

It’s together and I love it. Still needs trimming and I think I’ll add a border. I’ll use the background accent fabric. First quilt using a Krista Moser pattern. Thank you

Winter Visit complete! Thank you Krista Moser- a great project and sew along. Shout out to Naomi Stewart for recommending this backing: Shannon Cuddle 3 Bayou- 90”
The color was perfect!

Quilted and bound. Happy with how it looks.

I have my Winter Visit quilt ready for quilting. I made it smaller to be a wall hanging - this pattern is so beautiful! I used fabrics from my stash and am so happy with it!

I couldn’t stop once I got started! Thanks for another great QAL Krista, your patterns are the best! I’m using the cardinal block for a pillow.

Here is mine and I really enjoyed it!

This was my first Krista pattern & I enjoyed the process! I have a couple more patterns & I look forward to doing them.
Happy Sunday, everyone!
Krista
